President of Kurdish Autonomous Reigon, president Barzani warns Iran over shelling of Kurdish villages

 The president of Kurdistan’s autonomous region has warned that ties with Tehran could suffer if Iran continues cross-border shelling of Kurdish villages, report said on Sunday.
"We condemn the artillery fire against Iranian citizens in the border region of Kurdistan," Messud Barzani said, in the statement posted on his office website.
"This action is unjustified and may affect relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the autonomous region of Kurdistan," he warned.
Iran's forces regularly shell the border regions of South Kurdistan, terrorising the local people and destroying the farming lands.
The rationale for the shelling is the presence of the Kurdish guerrillas of the Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK) in the region. But none of PJAK’s guerrillas have been killed by the shelling and the only victim of the shelling is the villagers.
On Thursday Iranian forces shelled Haji Omran, a border crossing 70 kilometres northeast of the Kurdistan capital of Hewler.
"Instead of instilling fear, they [the Iranians] would be better to try to resolve the issue through dialogue and find workable solutions," said Barzani.
He said "the recent shelling of the borders of Kurdistan caused damage to villages and farms in the region and forced the villagers to flee."
The Iranian Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) clearly violating the rule of war in its offensive against the Kurdish freedom fighters.

IRGC shells the Kurdish villages and kills non-combatants. This is against the rule of war.
IRGC sets fire on the forest of Kurdistan and its rationale for the conflagration and destruction of Kurdish nature is the presence of Kurdish freedom fighters. This is too against the rule of war too.
Iranian authorities and their proxies working to black list the Kurdish liberation movement led by PJAK, but this the Kurds and their movement which have been subjected to Iranian state terrorism.
