Kurdish political prisoner Mr. Mustafa Selimi on hunger strike in Iranian Prison


rojhelat.info reported that According to Mukrian News a Kurdish political prisoner Mustafa  Selimi has launched a hunger strike in protest to rejection of his appeal.
Mr Selimi staged his hunger strike last Monday 19th December in protest to rejection of his appeal against death sentence imposed on him.
Mr Selimi was sentenced to death by the Iranian Revolutionary Court on the ground of Moharebe (enemy of God). He believes the charge is unfair thus appealed against it. However, his appeal had been rejected by the tribunal court.
Mr Selimi was arrested by the Intelligent Service on 2004 in Nehawend city located in Lorestan province. His brother stated that Mustafa ’s trial took only few minutes and without any evidence sentenced him to death.
Mr Selimi’s brother has requested help from all human rights institutions especially international human right organizations. He stated that Mr Selimi is in a really hard situation as his kidney problems have turned severe.
