10 people executed in Evin prison in Iran on june 7 th

TEHRAN, -- Ten people were executed in Evin House of Detention, human rights and democracy activists reported today.
Ten people who had been held in second compartment of Qizilhesar Detention were taken to Evin Prison on Wednesday 1st June with the purpose of carrying out their execution.
According to the report they were all executed upon the arrival in Evin Prison.
It should be pointed that after the unrest in the second compartment in Qizilhesar prison and its suppression by the prison officials over 170 detainees have been disappeared and 50 people killed.
Lieutenant Muradi one of the director of the prison, has revealed that 20 prisoners were executed by firing squad in front of the other prisoners.
Adding this case, the execution toll in Iran has reached 256 people for 2011.
