2 kurdish Freedom fighters and 1 kurdish high school student were executed in public by the Turkish government

According to www.rojhelat.info, 2 kurdish Freedom fighters and 1 kurdish high school student were hanged in public by the Turkish government . The families of high school student Ibrahim Atabay and People's Defense Forces (HPG) guerrillas Sunullah Keserci (Sipan) and Necmeddin Ahmed Hasan (Necmi Afrin) have stated that the three were captured alive and executed by a gendarmerie special operations team on September 7, 2009 in the village of Bugulukaynak (Kel) in Van's Chaldiran district.

Despite the villager's statements, the results of investigations by human rights organizations, and applications from the families, the Minister of the Interior, Beshir Atalay, denied Atabay, Keserci and Hasan were executed, saying that they "were killed in the clash."

It was only after receiving a letter about the incident from a soldier who witnessed the event, that the Van Attorney General's Office opened an investigation into the episode, as DIHA News Agency reported.

Ibrahim Atabay's father, Abdulgafur Ataby, recalled what happened: "The entire village witnessed the executions. I went to get my son but they did not release him. After they captured them alive, we knew that they were executed by the civilian special operations officers. We have not stopped pursuing the issue. They even tore down a memorial we built for them. To prove and exposed that the executions happened, we had to go through all sorts of harassment and vilification."
