Diyarbakır deputy Leyla Zana met Iraqi President Jalal Talabani. Talks reportedly dealt with the situation in Kurdistan and recent political developments in the region.
During the meeting, attended by some members of political bureaus of PUK, they discussed the latest political development in Kurdistan and in the region, reported Pukmedia. Talabani remarked that all clashes and problems should be solved through dialogue as this is not a period for ‘armed struggle and obtaining rights by extorting them with force’.
President Talabani shed light on the importance of political and parliament’s struggle to address the problems, saying that Kurd can benefit from this opportunity to gain their rights.
For her part, Layla Zana thanked President Jalal Talabani for his warm reception, praising his role in Iraqi political process.
