Kurdish poet at critical condition in Mashhad prison


MASHHAD, Iran, -- Kurdish writer and poet, Ali Reza Sipahi who was arrested for his affiliation with one of the Kurdish political groups has been transferred to Intelligence Service’s prison in Mashhad, Kurdpa News reports.
Despite that Mr Sipahi is suffering from diabetes he was subjected to heavy tortures and he is reported to be at a critical condition.
Although Mr Sipahi’s family has requested the Intelligence Service information about health condition of their son, the officials have avoided any response.
Ali Reza Sipahi is a Kurdish writer and poet from Xorasan and has been busy with searching about the poetries and the literature of the Kurds in Xorasan.
