Kurdish Regional Government condemned the Turkish air strikes


Federate Kurdistan Regional Government sharply condemned the air attacks of the Turkish army on the territory of the Federal Kurdistan. The government stated that the bombardment is a violation of the treaty of amity and international laws and agreements.

In the statement published on the website of the Kurdistan Regional Government, the attacks by the Turkish army since 17 August were condemned strongly. The statement emphasized that the problems could only be solved through dialogue and negotiation with the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

The statement expressed that the bombardment on border villages and many areas in Kurdistan Region forced migration to the region’s people who suffered great financial losses and damages in their living areas.

“The government of Kurdistan is worried and uneasy with regards to this situation and in strong opposition to the ongoing bombardment. No excuse can be a justification to the bombardment on the territory of the Kurdistan region as this will give a great damage to the amity and security of the region’s people. In the current situation, everyone needs to pay regard to the sensitive period of the Kurdistan Region. In addition, not any power can purpose to use the Kurdistan territory as a mean to attack against neighboring countries. Both sides need to solve the problems through political ways and dialogue” said the statement.
