Another mass Grave found with 19 bodies of Kurdish freedom fighters killed by Turkish government


DERSIM, -- Discovery of mass graves have become an order of the day in Kurdistan. The brutalities of Turkish regime is coming to light each day and its meeting with the silence of the international community.
The latest mass grave was discovered in the areas of Chemish Gezeki of Dersim province. Civil institutions and the political representatives have requested permission for its excavation.
The evidences suggest that 19 Kurdish guerrillas, who lost their lives in a battle taking place in Chemish Gezeki on 1st April 1997, were dumped into the mass grave by Turkish soldiers.
A number of lawyers, representatives of political organisations, and civil institutions have attended the site and requested permission for the excavation of the mass grave.
“The families of the guerrillas are the main victims, according to the international laws these are the crimes against humanity, despite all these they keep the corpses in the mass-graves,” the representative of Human Rights Institution of Dersim Mr Barsh Ilderm said.
The head of the institution of the lawyers of Dersim Fatme Kalsin stated that there are considerable numbers of mass grave in Dersim. But they government has failed and do not let others to excavate these sites.
