A new mass grave was found with bodies of 17 kurdish freedom fighters killed By the turkish government

ISMIL, North Kurdistan, -- Statements given by eye witnesses reveal the presence of new mass grave every passing day. The last news of a mass grave came from Catalsögüt village of Mutki/Bitlis where allegedly 17 guerrillas are buried. While Bahoz cod-named Nurettin Eldemir, who lost his life in a clash in 1994, is said to be among these 17 guerrillas, Bahoz's brother Hamza Eldemir says that an eyewitness he has met is willing to show the location of the mass grave.

A new mass grave has been added to the list upon the application of Hamza Eldemir, who has been looking for his brother Nurettin Eldemir for 17 years, to Human Rights Association (IHD) Bitlis Branch. Remarking that his brother Nurettin is most likely buried in the mass grave in Catalsögüt village of Mutki/Bitlis, Hamza Eldemir demanded the opening of the grave.

NO REPLY FROM THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE

Confirming the presence of the mass grave, IHD Bitlis Representative Hasan Ceylan said the followings; "Except for the mass grave of 17 guerrillas in Catalsögüt village, we have ascertained four or five more mass graves. To demand the opening of the graves in accordance with European standards, we have sent a letter to the Ministry of Justice but we still haven't been replied so far on the pretext of general elections. Families call us every day but we can't take any step as we are still waiting for the required procedures."

Bahoz's brother Hamza Eldemir also noted two missing names Dilovan code-named Hamdin and Ronî code-named Yılmaz Ayhan who took the mountains in the same year with his brother and are still disappeared.
